This magnificent pendant features a 45x35mm oval of tiger eye splendidly hand-carved with a tortoise and a beautiful woman's face. This abounds with symbolism and ancient meanings. Throughout the world the tortoise represents the waters, the moon, the Earth Mother, creation, time, immortality, fertility, and regeneration. The tortoise is regarded as a manifestation of feminine power and in Japan is an attribute of Benten, goddess of the sea. The goddess Hsi-wang-mu is known as the Golden Mother of the Tortoise. A multi faceted 10x8mm oval of Garnet decorates the tube bail and two round faceted citrines accent and enhance the wonderful color of the tiger eye.
