Recently our friend in India handed us a large silver dollar sized uncut Garnet. It was dark, but when held up to the light you could see a beautiful merlot red glow.. I can’t wait to see it hand faceted by his talented stone cutters! I collect rocks wherever I walk or hike, and here in Vermont I have found small pebble sized garnet crystal deposits within loose stones.
