Cinnabar is a resinous sap that comes from the lac tree in Asia. Once hardened, skilled artisans carve wonderful patterns. In this case, each round piece has been carved into a beautiful little flower (12mm). The Cinnabar flower is set in sterling silver and adorned with scrolling Sterling Silver and a 4x6mm pear of faceted Garnet. Measuring just over 1" these gorgeous earrings were designed by Marianna and Richard and handmade by Balinese Artisans.
