Cinnabar is a resinous sap that comes from the lac tree in Asia. Once hardened, skilled artisans carve wonderful patterns. In this case, each round piece has been carved into a beautiful little flower (12mm). The Cinnabar flower is set in sterling silver to create these post earrings. 1/2" in diameter.
