Filigree is an ancient silver working technique done in Java that is becoming increasingly rare. Comprised of hundreds (or thousands!) of tiny silver threads that have been twisted or spun to give a "lace-like" look. These beautiful spiral earrings are a work of art, a true labor of love for the master silversmiths! Measuring nearly 2 1/2" long from the ear and 1 5/8" wide you wont have to worry about these earrings being too heavy because of the intricate nature of the filigree.
